1. Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. A copy of the certificate is to be submitted and signed in the school clinic for follow up.

 

2. Parents should fill up the “Record for Non-Attendance” for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.

 

3. Students who require medical attention during school hours may be sent by the teacher the school clinic, with a slip/note in the almanac. The child may be sent home if deemed necessary. ‘

 

4. No one who has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without letter from the parent, addressed to the Principal, stating the reason for the absence.

 

5. All students returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate to be endorsed by the school.

 

Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:-

 

(a) Chicken Pox – Till complete falling of scabs.

 

(b) Cholera – Till the child is completely well.

 

(c) Measles – Two weeks after the rash disappears.

 

(d) Mumps – Until the swelling has gone; about one month.

 

(e) Whooping Cough – Six weeks

 

(f) Jaundice – Six weeks after recovery.

 

6. Repeated or unexplained absence for five consecutive days renders the student liable have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee.

 

7. All students are expected to attend school on the opening day after each of the vacations. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before they may be admitted to the class.

 

8. Absence for more than three days immediately after a vacation renders the students liable to pay a fine of  Rs.100/- per day.

 

9. It is compulsory for the students to have 80% attendance in each academic year, for promotion.

 

10. No child who is medically unfit will be allowed to take class tests.

 

11. No re-test will be conducted for any Weekly Assessment.
